Monday-Saturday (see exceptions below)
10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

For Fall 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, for safety reasons the museum will be closed on Saturdays when there is a UA football home game (Oct. 3, Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 21, Nov. 28).

The museum is also regularly closed on all Sundays and University Holidays

Thanksgiving Schedule

The Alabama Museum of Natural History will be closed on Thursday, November 26, Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28. We will reopen on Monday, November 30, 2020.


The museum is located in Smith Hall on the University of Alabama campus. The street address is 427 Sixth Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487.
