Origami for the Holidays

sixteen different origami animalsCalling all UA students, staff and faculty to help us create ornaments for our holiday celebration! This year we are asking anyone who is interested to create nature-themed origami that will be used to decorate the museum for the holidays. If you have never tried creating origami before this is a great opportunity to learn how, and discover all the amazing creatures one can create with just a sheet of paper.

Below are a few suggested examples you can start with, but feel free to use any other animal origami examples you like.

Bee

Butterfly

Ladybug

Once you have created your origami creature you can them off of at the museum’s reception desk in Smith Hall, and then come back for our Holiday Open House on December 9th to admire all the origami that folks have created.
