Depending on the museum, the holiday schedule may vary, so we’d like to help make it easier to know when they are closed and when they will be reopening.
The Alabama Museum of Natural History
The Alabama Museum of Natural History will be closed from December 22, 2023 to January 2, 2024 and will return to regular operating hours on January 3, 2024.
The Gorgas House Museum
The Gorgas House Museum will be closed from December 21, 2023 to January 2, 2024 and will return to regular operating hours on January 3, 2024.
The Paul W. Bryant Museum
The Paul W. Bryant Museum will be closed from December 22, 2023 to January 2, 2024 and will return to regular operating hours on January 3, 2024.
The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum
The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum will be closed from December 22, 2023 to January 2, 2024 and will return to regular operating hours on January 3, 2024.
Moundville Archaeological Park
Moundville Archaeological Park and its Campground will have closures during the Holiday Season so please make a note of these dates.
Park
- Sunday, December 24, 2023 – Tuesday, January 2, 2024 – CLOSED
Campground
- Friday, December 1 – Our bathhouse will be CLOSED for the winter. It will reopen on March 1, 2024. Only RVs with bathrooms/showers will be permitted to stay during this time. No tent camping will be allowed.
- Saturday, December 23 – Tuesday, January 2 – CLOSED
The Campground will return to normal hours of operation on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
