The Alabama Museum of Natural History will be closed on Saturday, May 27, 2023 for the Memorial Day Weekend. The museum will reopen on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

The Alabama Museum of Natural History Hosts Fossil Track Meet
On Saturday, April 8, 2023, the Alabama Museum of Natural History and the Alabama Paleontological Society will be hosting a free fossil Track Meet from 11 am until 3:30 pm. Museum Closures Due to Severe Weather
With the impending threat of severe weather, including the high risk of tornadoes and dangerous weather in West and Central Alabama, normal UA operations will be suspended at 12:30 p.m. today. This means that the Alabama Museum of Natural History, the Gorgas House Museum, the Paul W. Bryant Museum, the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum, and Moundville Archaeological Park will all be closed. Normal Operations resume on February 17, 2023.
